6:57 pm - Games People Play
|
Alright so all my SOCOM friends turned lame and starting playing EQOA instead... life goes on, sometimes they still turn up on Wednesday or Sunday nights. I started playing NWN again, it's not the same with out the ol' party but they're too lazy to re-install the game, so I have a new NWN buddy. ;)
I got three mo' games for my Xbox, Robotech: Battlecry (cuz I got the collector's edition sealed on ebay fpor $11,) Enter the Matrix and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Robotech, I haven't played much... just did the training and the I think the first level, I've forgotten. EtM was a big letdown, it might be the first game I actually trade-in at a gamestop... they tell me Wolfenstein has a solo-player offline game, but I wouldn't know about that... I dunno how you can have it and not immediately select multiplayer->xbox live.
Need to get Veggie and Leon on SOCOM and just kill them over and over, but knowing Leon.. he'd probably pull out the gameshark. ;)

11:40 am - Sometimes Truth is Stranger than Fiction...

A girl calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here and help me, I have a killer jigsaw puzzle and I can't figure out how to get it started." Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?" The girl says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a tiger."
Her boyfriend decides to go over and help with the puzzle. She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table. He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says:
"First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a tiger."
"Second, I'd advise you to relax. Let's have a cup of coffee, then put all these Frosties back in the box."

On a normal day I'd treat you like I did today I don't know why I need the pain On a normal day I'd stop it all and tell you why I pulled the plug, threw it away If only it would get better I'd smile as if I felt it Although if it ever got better... I might go throw it all away The way I always do I might just bury you alive And go do something new
Today's Tips: $1 (I rock!)
I changed one word in today's lyrics, just to make it fit even better. Someone asked me to share my thoughts, I usually keep them to myself (some of you are surprised I have thoughts, I know) ... but today I had one paticular thought that seemed worthy of sharing.
I've developed a fascination with the Komodo Dragon, and more specifically it's blood and the very death that resides in it's mouth. For those not familiar, the dragons are known for the large size and physically prowress... but 9 out of 10 times they kill from a single nip, with an array of bacteria that's cultured inside the creature's mouth. After the initial biting, the dragon will follow it's prey until it ultimately sucumbs to the bacteria it's been afflicted with from the bite. This is not venom, so then how does the dragon survive carrying the mass bio-weapon inside it's mouth? The blood of the dragon is under study as a possible source for the next great antiseptic agent.
But how does that indicate thought, those are merely facts... what I specifically thought about is how the Komodo relates to the arachaic legend of dragons... a breath weapon, the healing properties of the blood, the sheer size and power. It gives me joy that something in the present world gives pausible cause to myth. Especially considering the Komoda's weapon and blood is fairly recent discovery.
*got distracted, did some shopping* http://www.animaxis.com/en/shop/product.asp?pf%5Fid=117852&sku=117852%2D00 Ohohoho... XD
I thought about other stuff today too: You, me, her, him, them, us... the basic thoughts people have every day... these thoughts probably prompted today's lyrics.
Remind me to fill you guys in on current events of my life soon.

5:16 pm - Money, that's What I want...
|

Okay, I've been reminded once again that I should actually write here. What's happened since July 4th... I don't even friggin' know. No new art, I know that.. I went to hook up my tablet again the other day and it didn't want to work... I'll try again sometime this week. I started reading Jeff Noon's Nymphomation, I picked it up when I was replacing books (*cough*book-selling biatch*cough*) ... I read his Automated Alice last and replaced the well-read copy of Vurt with a new one.
Anyone that stayed in contact with me knows I was playing SOCOM every day up until Christmas, when I gifted myself with an xbox and the live service. Now SOCOM splits time with Ghost Recon, NHL 2K3 and some other non-live xbox titles (splinter cell, halo, amped.)I also beta-tested a couple of upcoming PS2 online games, namely EverQuest Online Adventures and Auto Modellista... but without the voice support of live and socom, the games just are lacking something... I think we're all spoiled now.
Most recent photos, forgive me for looking so rough in these:
